Common Men’s Problem – Prostate Enlargement

The prostate gland enlargement develops as a strictly age-related phenomenon in nearly all men at the age after 40 yo. By the age 50-60yo, nearly 50% of men are affected by prostate enlargement.
1/3 of them may have lower urinary tract symptoms that can interfere with their quality of life. The common symptoms including:

Irritative symptoms:
– Increase frequency of urination.
– Sudden urgent need to urinate.
– Waking up >1 time at night to urinate (Nocturia)

Obstructive symptoms:
– Straining during urination.
– Incomplete emptying the urination.
– Intermittency (urinary stream that is not continuous).
– Weak stream.
