Melgisorb Ag is a silver sodium and calcium alginate dressing (made from seaweed) that can absorb a large amount of wound fluid.

Silver kills bacteria and can be used either to prevent infections or in wounds with signs of local infection.

Your doctor or nurse will know whether or not your wound needs to be treated with a silver bandage.
